FAQ

  • What happens if I need to cancel my session?
You must notify us via email (kendellkeechtutoring@gmail.com) at least 24 hours prior to your tutoring lesson to receive a refund. If cancellation notification is sent within 24 hours of the tutoring lesson, you will not be eligible for a refund.
  • How far in advance should I book a lesson?
Booking opens 14 days prior to the lesson time. You are encouraged to book lessons in advance to secure a desired time slot and tutor.
  • Will I get the same tutor every time?
When accessing the booking calendar, you will have the option to choose your desired tutor based on their availability.
  • What is the role of a tutor?
The role of a tutor is to assist students with course work. Tutors will review course material, assist students in working through practice work, and then finally work together to distill the topics of the course into basic concepts, encouraging comprehension rather than memorization. It is important to note that tutors are not replacements for teachers and are therefore not responsible for teaching the entirety of the course curriculum.
  • How should I prepare for my tutoring class?
At the elementary level, it is expected that students (or parents) provide the current topic of study to their tutor. At the secondary and university level, it is expected that students (or parents) communicate coursework that they would like to review during the session. This is typically done via email or text.
  • What if I am late to my session?
Your tutor will contact you via phone or email if you have not joined the session after 5 minutes. If there is no response and you are still not connected within 15 minutes, then your tutor will end the session.
